Well, weigh it, Nokia is working with researchers at the University of Southampton to try charging the device using alternative energy sources rather different: lightning.
It sounds weird and impossible. But, researchers have proved it.
Reported by Mashable, Monday, October 7th, 2013, researchers simulate lightning by generating an alternating current through a transformer. Then, the researchers distribute the flow between a gap the size of a few inches.
This method then generates a wave of 200,000 volts, in a wave ( bolt ) electricity. The magnitude of the wave is the average power of lightning.
So energy is then transformed into another controller. The second transformer is then capable of converting electricity into the battery Nokia Lumia 925.
"As one of the companies that introduce wireless charging, we believe this trial has the potential as a new idea in leap charging in the future,"said Chris Weber, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nokia.
Research conducted into a jump-start Nokia 's development of electric charge through a thunderbolt. If applicable, this new source of energy could be a solution that is environmentally friendly, because the lightning energy really renewable alias will not run out.
Neil Palmer, one of the researchers on the project, said the series of Nokia is able to stabilize the signal lightning. This is important, because many people who break the idea of taking charge of this lightning, the reason it is unpredictable.
"These findings prove the device can be filled with air flow through. And, this is a major step towards the understanding of energy such as lightning and how to harness that energy,"said Palmer.
